The Jayco Years: Before We Knew We Needed Tidy

Our Little Jayco, it was the one that made us feel like RV'ers for real. Our second rig, but the one that shifted the way we traveled.
We bought it used and more than a little worn. It wasn’t the kind of camper you’d expect to last another weekend, let alone four years of steady trips to the shore.
We got lucky. No major structural issues—just a lot of cosmetic work. A lot.
We tore our cabinets, rebuilt drawers, painted every inch inside, laid new floors, scrubbed the aluminum siding.
We rolled that rig out for long weekends—most of them toward the coast.
It had everything we needed: a cozy sleeping nook, a tiny kitchen that held its own, and just enough storage to make us feel like we could breathe.
It was our escape. A break from work and  from the to-do list that never ends.
That old Jayco gave us room to reset.

It was the rig that shifted things and made us feel less like weekenders—and more like RV'ers who have a place that feels like home, wherever you park it.
