The Rig: A Long Time Comin’

Where the setup starts—and the story rolls out.

We didn’t land on the right rig, the right setup, or the right rhythm overnight.

Every step took time—trial and error, packed and unpacked bins, gear that flopped, and gear that stuck.

Over the years, each rig taught us something new. Each stretch of road asked something different. And slowly, the systems we needed began to take shape.

So when you see something that works here, know it wasn’t a shortcut. It was the long way, earned with practice and patience.

“It’s been a long time comin’...” —Sam Cooke, “A Change Is Gonna Come” (1964)

The Rig

Maybe you’ve dreamed about a simpler way to travel—or a different way to live. But where do you even begin? Maybe it's not about finding the perfect rig—maybe it's about figuring out what will work for you right now, and building around that. Maybe it starts with dialing in what fits your life as it is today—and where you hope it’ll go.

“All, all that you dream, comes through shinin silver lining.”—Little Feat, “All That You Dream” (1975)

It all starts right here.

It’s the setups that make sense, the gear that earns its keep, and a space that lets you show up for the good stuff—with the people (and pup) living inside it. Tidy doesn't mean perfect. It means ready.

Head over to Our Rigs —where we lay it all out, from tow gear to tidy hacks, so you can figure out what might work for your ride.

Our Rigs

We switch between two rigs—a truck camper and a travel trailer—depending on the road ahead. Both have the same tow vehicle, which is Big Blue—a 2024 Ford F-350 XLT.

The truck camper is a 2024 Palomino 8801, lovingly known as Little Mae. The travel trailer? A 2024 Cougar 25RDS we call Big Mama.

Come inside to see their setup—and how we keep them both tidy.

Each rig has its own quirks, needs, and setup—and you’ll notice some overlap in the gear we use across both. That’s intentional.

When something works, we keep it rolling. And when it doesn’t?

We tweak, repack, and roll out again.

Looking for a way to make that dream a little more real?

You're in the right spot.

Because it’s not about perfection—it’s about being ready.

Ready when the road opens up.

Ready when the weather shifts.

Ready when the invitation comes… or the beach is calling.

The setup matters because the experience is the golden ticket.

“And I don’t want to miss a thing.” —Aerosmith, I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing (1998)

Tidy up. Roll out.

Thanks for stopping by,

—T, C & Louie 🐾
